The Mandemaat project in Assen combines architecture with building technology to create a future-proof building

Mandemaat is a pilot project centred on sustainable and innovative construction. The finished building was designed with a focus on bio-based, circular construction, a strong connection to nature, energy efficiency and climate resilience.

Different construction methods were combined as part of the project, including timber construction and the use of prefabricated components. This integrated approach has resulted in a future-proof building where sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand.

The project was characterised by a high degree of prefabrication and close collaboration between the specialist areas. A majority of the installation components were delivered to the construction site as prefabricated modules. This method enabled efficient integration of the installations while minimising mounting time on-site.

OBO Bettermann contributed modular cable support systems, combined with project-specific adaptations. As a result, technical requirements could be taken into account at an early stage, allowing for smooth execution within the turnkey project’s tight schedule.

Thanks to this combination of functional and aesthetic solutions, the installations blend seamlessly into the overall concept. The commitment of the installers and close collaboration with all stakeholders enabled a high-quality, perfectly executed installation.
