The OBO distributors
Stable housing, flexible installation
Small distributors, also referred to as distribution boxes, offer space for a wide range of electrical components. They protect the electrical installation and interrupt the circuit in the event of an overload. In addition, they ensure proper power distribution and bundle all cables.
OBO small distributors are available in variants with 3 to 12 division units and are suitable for the current sub-distribution in interior and exterior areas according to IEC 439-3. With protection type IP66 and protection rating IK08, the distributors are especially robust and reliable. Thanks to the transparent cover, operators always have their eye on everything. The connection terminal strips inside the distributors ensure organised wiring. Various circuit and fusing elements can be installed on DIN rails with the appropriate accessories – including fuses and circuit breakers, current protection switches or surge protection.

Advantages of the OBO distributors at a glance:
- Variants with up to 12 division units
- Robust thanks to IP66 protection type and IK08 protection rating
- High-quality plastics: polystyrene and polycarbonate
- An extensive range of accessories as well as compatible DIN and support rails
High-quality materials for stability and safety
Depending on the location of use, the distributors are available in two different material versions: The housing in professional quality is made from robust polystyrene and is particularly suitable for reliable use in indoor and protected outdoor areas. For even greater stability and safety, opt for the polycarbonate distributors – ideal for rough industrial environments.
With these high-quality plastics, OBO satisfies all the requirements for modern small distributors. The industrial-quality (polycarbonate) distribution boxes are fitted with screwless terminals, while the professional-quality (polystyrene) distributors come with tried-and-tested screw terminals. Simple and flexible installation is guaranteed. The practical adhesive labelling sheets with self-adhesive pictograms ensure tidy labelling of the installation.

Formula Student Team – OBO supports the further development of the engine test bench
Hailing from Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Stuttgart, the Formula Student Team consists of close to 120 students from the economics, technology and social affairs faculties. Since 2009, each year the Formula Student Team has developed a racing car, which until 2011 was powered by a combustion engine, before the switch was made to an electric motor.
